hi y'all! This smoothie recipe is the result of another fun recipe swap club challenge. If you haven't followed along with my swap posts in the past it is a food blogger network where I am challenged monthly to recreate a recipe from a fellow foodie and give it a try. I have so much fun with this each month because it gives me new inspiration and recipes to write up for you that I may not have gotten to otherwise! This month I worked from Simply Made Recipes, a blog written by a husband and wife duo who love to cook together and work to bring their audience easy and affordable recipes and decided to give their protein packed strawberry vanilla smoothie a try. This month has been a crazy and hectic one to say the least. I'm working on packing everything up and moving out of my cute little wine town into San Jose, CA. I'll miss the quaint wine country but couldn't be more excited to move as I will finally be living with my boyfriend, our puppies, and feel so settled at home! In the midst of all that I am trying to eat healthy and get into a better routine on weekdays so as I browsed Amber and Aaron's site I was immediately drawn to this smoothie. I mean look how pretty it is! If a recipe is healthy, easy, and looks good I am in! I made this up for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised at how full I stayed until lunch time. I hope you enjoy as much as I did! Note: I halved the original recipe since I was just making a breakfast smoothie for one! If you want to make 2 large or 3 small smoothies double the ingredients found here.

This looks the perfect post workout shake. I've been making protein shakes ever since I started going to the gym. My friends will also love to drink this. It will also perfectly add with my daily servings. I'll have to find a strawberry flavored protein powder first.
