This pizza is hard not to love - but let's be honest, anything with a homemade alfredo sauce and bacon would be hard not to love. My boyfriend isn't a fan of any pizza with a regular red tomato sauce on it - so I've been doing a lot of BBQ, alfredo, or pesto pizzas. While I love alfredo, most of the store bought alfredo pizzas just aren't that good so I decided why not find a great way to make my own. The trick is getting the alfredo sauce thick enough that it isn't too liquidy as a pizza sauce - this recipe works out great. You can easily switch up the toppings from how I made it too. Enjoy!
Pizza crust & toppings:
  • 1 pre-made pizza dough or crust.
  • 1-2 cups diced cooked grilled chicken
  • 1/2 - 1 cup chopped bacon, cooked
  • Parsley leaves
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion
  • 1-2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • Optional - tsp olive oil & salt to coat crust
Alfredo Sauce Ingredients:
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
Tip: If you buy pizza dough instead of a pre-baked pizza crust make sure it is room temperature before you start cooking.
Directions:
  • Preheat your oven per the directions on whichever crust you have.

  • Chop up all your toppings and set aside.

Now for the sauce...
  • In a small/medium sized sauce pan melt your 2 tbsp butter over medium heat.
  • Once melted add in the tbsp of garlic paste & tbsp of flour and whisk together.
  • Add in your whipping cream - turn heat up a little - and whisk together until mixture is slightly boiling.
  • Add in your parmesan cheese & salt and whisk together until creamy.
  • Turn burner off and let sauce sit for a moment while you prepare your crust.

  • If you bought pizza dough like I did flour a surface and use a rolling pin or your hands to roll dough out into a pizza shape - also use a light cooking spray on whatever baking try you are using.
  • If you bought a pre-baked crust you can go ahead and put it on your baking pan.
  • Optional step: Using a basting brush or spoon coat the crust in olive oil or butter and lightly sprinkle with salt. This allows the crust to bake a nice golden brown color and taste great.
  • Spread your alfredo sauce evenly over your pizza. Add a little at a time until it is as saucy as you like - depending on how big your crust is, you may not need all the alfredo sauce.
  • Layer on your mozzarella cheese.

  • Layer your chicken, bacon, parsley, and green onion on evenly. (Or whatever toppings you are using).
  • Sprinkle on a little more mozzarella on top.
  • Bake per the instructions on whichever crust you are using.
  • Serve & enjoy!
