Can y'all believe Thanksgiving is less than a week away? That means it's the perfect time to throw a relaxing Friends-giving before the real turkey day shows up. I love the idea of "friends-giving" (basically Thanksgiving with a group of friends) because it always feels so relaxed, no pressure, and it's all people you choose to celebrate with. Not that we don't all love every member of our family, but like they say you choose your friends. It's nice to celebrate and be thankful for them too! Oh, and another great perk? A second Thanksgiving dinner. I mean come on it's the best meal and it only rolls around once a year, why not make it worth while by getting another meal out of it?! Lastly, I'll take any excuse to open up some good wine to share with friends, and I think Friends-giving is a pretty darn perfect excuse.
Why avo-toast with your morning coffee when you can pesto toast with your evening wine? I'm just saying... Seriously though, now that Halloween is officially behind us we're on to my favorite holiday months - bring on the sweater weather, good food, and of course, the good wine. I feel like a giddy kid every year when November rolls around and I can start holiday decorating, looking forward to holiday meals with friends and family, and having a reason to cozy up and relax with my unnecessarily large collection of soft fluffy blankets and equally unnecessarily large collection of wine. Neither of which I'm apologizing for because they all felt like necessary purchases, and well you can never have enough of something you truly love, am I right?
Sweater weather is officially here in California and I couldn't be more excited about it. Call me cliche for loving fall so much - spending Sundays watching football, getting cozy in sweaters & blankets, fall cuisine, and knowing that the holidays are on the way are most definitely a few of my favorite things. One thing I'm not ready to set aside as we head into fall? Wine.... especially my refreshing roses. Something you may or may not know about me is that wine is almost a bigger passion to me than cooking. I got my virtual cellar set up today which felt like a great organization project off my to do list (you can find me on Vivino under "Luca Neutze" if you're interested in connecting)! Anyway considering my love for vino I am so excited to be partnered up with The Wines of Provence to talk a little bit about rose. I mean who doesn't love a good glass of rose?!
hey there! I am so excited my favorite season is finally almost here. Every summer I go through this, I mean don't get me wrong I love summertime. Who doesn't? Sunshine, tan lines, beach days...it's the best, but fall has my heart and always will. I love sweater weather, curling up in blankets, looking forward to the holidays, yummy fall food, and last but most certainly not least, football season! I live for it (okay maybe slight exaggeration), but I really love it. It involves everything I love most - a reason to hang with friends / family, spend all day in comfy sweats while eating good game day snacks, and maybe the best part of all is the justified day time glass of wine, like a glass of JaM Cabernet!
