Hi y'all, happy national asparagus day! I'll be honest, I'm really not that big of an asparagus fan. It totally depends on how it is cooked and is so hit or miss for me. I made these apprehensively as I wasn't sure if they'd come out chewy, stringy or with good flavor for a "fry" and I ended up so pleasantly surprised by how good they were! Not stringy or chewy at all, and a really soft flavor that tasted great with the parmesan bread crumb coating. Best part is since these are baked and not fried they really are pretty healthy... and taste so much better than plain old asparagus! I made up a garlic parmesan dipping sauce to go with it, totally optional! I think ranch or ketchup or any plain sauce would taste great!

Hi y'all! Anyone who knows me knows I'm a total wino, and not only do I love wine but I love everything and the culture that surrounds it. Spending days tasting, and eating nothing but charcuterie boards filled with meat & cheese & olives for dinner and I'd be one happy camper. With that being said I LOVE little bites like this - so easy to put together & snack on... with my glass of wine by my side of course! This would make a perfect party appetizer... easy, delicious, and great presentation!
Happy national chocolate chip day! I thought we'd celebrate with a healthier snack than a chocolate chip cookie like everyone else seems to be doing. Also wanted to make these because I just can't get enough of these little energy bites, and it seems like you guys can't either! The chunky peanut butter bites I made are the most viewed recipe on the blog to date, and the chocolate peanut butter ones aren't too far behind! I love knowing what you guys like and giving you more yummy options :)
Y'all, these are so addicting! If you've got a party or event to make up an appetizer for I can't recommend this enough. It takes about 5 minutes of my time to put together and then the crock-pot takes care of the rest. Recipes that are so little effort & ingredients, yet are big hits are the best, am I right?! The flavor is incredible and they are so tender from being in the crock-pot. Enjoy!
Hola! Happy belated Cinco de Mayo... I'm a day late posting (too much good Mexican food and margaritas yesterday!) but how fun are these 7 layer dip cups?! I made them for a baby shower fiesta and loved how easy they made it to serve everyone and how cute the presentation was. Most importantly they were such a hit and SO easy to put together. You can see in the pictures below how easy and fun it would be to decorate these for whatever your occasion is and make them even more festive and fun!
Hey y'all! If you like goat cheese & sun dried tomatoes these cucumber bites are so delicious and make a perfect party appetizer. The combo of the two flavors is delicious, and I always love using cucumber as a base instead of crackers to cut carbs and because it has such a nice light flavor. Another reason to love these? They're relatively inexpensive and so quick to put together - I love low effort dishes like this to have out as bites at a party. Hope you enjoy as much as I did!
Happy Sunday everyone! Last weekend I made bacon wrapped pigs in a blanket and with plenty of leftover lil smokies I figured I'd use them up in something new to share with you this weekend. How fun are these bite size corn dogs?! They were so easy to make up... I mean it, even if you aren't a pro at frying things up at home you'll be able to make these. I served them as a game day appetizer and love the idea of having them out as a party platter or just making them for a fun dinner. I used the Hillshire Farms recipe as a guideline on these, making a couple small tweaks and they came out fab!
Hi! Do y'all love bruschetta as much as I do? Not only is it yummy and fresh it is so easy to put together as a snack, appetizer, party plate, etc! A restaurant I go to pretty regularly serves bruschetta with a goat cheese spread and it is my absolute favorite, it's just as easy but adds so much flavor. I figured I'd make my own version of it at home tonight so I could share with all of you, because seriously if you like goat cheese and haven't tried this combo you are seriously missing out.
After making the chocolate peanut butter version of these a couple weeks ago I couldn't wait to try a different combo and make no bake energy bites again. You guys loved them, everyone who got to eat them loved them, I loved them, and they take me 10 minutes to make! I mean seriously, I whipped these up while getting ready for the work day this morning and brought them in for a snack same day. Easy, quick, and packed with good nutrients... what more could you ask for in a snack recipe. These are only four ingredients and are loaded with omega-3s from the flaxseed, protein, and fiber!
Happy National Pigs in a Blanket day y'all! If you follow any of my other recipes you may know by now that I love pigs in a blanket - I've shared the Pretzel version as well as cheesy jalapeno, and today made up this bacon wrapped version, all three so delicious! I may be partial to these though... I mean add bacon to anything and I'm sold. I love how easy these are to make and they're always a brunch or party hit.
