I have to admit, after all the good food I enjoyed over MDW it is time for a good healthy week this week. But all the deliciousness was so worth it, including these amazing beer infused burgers. It doesn't take much beer, but it makes them so tender and so good!!! Also, it gives you a reason to crack open a beer to accompany you by the grill. You can totally top them however you want, and use any kind of bread you desire (this fresh from the bakery brioche was pretty darn perfect) ... so I'll just walk you through how to season & cook the meat and let you get creative with how you serve it up!
This recipe yields 5-6 1/4 lb. burgers. Feel free to adjust quantities or get a little creative in order to make as much or little as you need!

Also, these instructions are for cooking the meat on the grill, however you can easily cook them in a skillet inside if you would prefer!
Burger Meat Ingredients:
  • 1.5 lbs 80/20 ground beef
  • 1.5 oz. beer
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 3 tbsp bbq sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

How I completed the burger:
  • Slice of white american cheese
  • 2 slices bacon, cooked & halved.
  • 1 slice tomato
  • Brioche bun
  • Ketchup / mayo blend for sauce

TIP: Spread butter and garlic on the inside of the buns and bake them a few minutes at 350' before serving... garlic bread burgers oh my!

Directions:
  • Heat up your grill over low-medium heat.
  • In a medium - large mixing bowl mix all meat ingredients until evenly combined. (NOTE: the bread crumbs and cheese help keep the patties together since the beer makes them so tender).
  • Evenly divide the meat into how many patties you want to make and form away, make sure they are packed tight.
  • Place burgers on grill and allow to cook for about 5 minutes, flip and do the same... making sure all pink has cooked out or that burgers are at temperature using a meat thermometer.
  • If you want cheese melted onto burgers add a slice during the last minute of grilling.
  • Remove from grill, toss on a bun and add your desired toppings.
  • Enjoy!!!
