One of the restaurants I frequent in wine country, Campo Di Bocce, has a breaded ravioli appetizer I just love. I was cooking a pre-made Costco ravioli for dinner tonight and decided why not get creative and make my own version?! This clearly won't be the healthiest of things I post on here, but it's so delicious and it was SO easy. One of the great things about breading the raviolis like this is it turns a pasta into a great shareable appetizer or party snack versus a meal. But of course it still makes a delicious meal that you could pour sauce on versus serving it the way I did!
You will need:
5. Using tongs place the raviolis one at a time in the oil mixture. You should only do a few
at a time so you don't allow them to burn. Depending on how hot your oil/stove is the
raviolis may only take a few seconds to fry up. Flip the raviolis over to fry the other side,
you can always flip back and forth until they are as browned as you would like.
6. Remove the fried raviolis and put on a paper towel lined plate to soak up the excess oil.
7. Serve with marinara or sauce of your choice & enjoy!
